My pottery is created in my home studio with great care and high attention to detail using stoneware and leadfree glazes. Due to the handmade nature of my art, each item is always unique and some items may have slight imperfections which serve to add to the beauty and individuality of each piece. Many of my ceramic pieces begin by me throwing them on the potter's wheel or creating a compressed level clay slab to build with. Then I usually hand carve or sculpt each piece to create special one of kind pieces of functional ceramic art. My pottery is finished by firing it in the kiln at cone 6 using beautiful glazes that have natural variations that occur during the firing.
