A butterfly, a bird, an angel—what do you see? This intricate, beaded macramé pendant was inspired by wings and movement. It uses silver findings and beads to create a beautiful shape with vintage style.

Two oval findings are connected by Japanese seed beads, round glass beads and black macrame cord, which is carefully hand-knotted to form a secure design. Two-hole beads in metallic charcoal fan out selling from the center beads, providing texture while also interlocking the macrame cords. Bright silver Japanese seed beads add a pop of contrast, while black crystals add sparkle through out the shape. The design is finished with a gray crystal pearl drop bead, which adding movement and sass.

The silver-plated rolo chain is adjustable up to 21 inches.

TECHNIQUES—This pendant was handmade using micro macramé, which is a jewelry making technique that uses various knots and thin cording to create designs. A simple wire wrapping technique was used to secure the beads along the chain.
