O and O27 Gauge Lionel 6-8568 Preamble Express Non-Powered F3 Diesel manufactured 1975. Diesel locomotive is in excellent condition, comes with original Lionel box. Box shows some wear.

Preamble Express Non-Powered "Dummy" F3 Diesel Engine. No official dummy unit was produced by Lionel, cab shells were placed on dummy chassis by model train enthusiasts to run as an AA unit configuration.

This engine was purchased by me, as a dummy unit for that purpose. The engine can easily be converted back to a power unit by replacing the non-power frame with a power one. Engine shell is in excellent selling condition, bright colors. Comes with the original Lionel box for a power unit. Box shows some wear.

This engine has been in my collection for several years, it has not been run by me and has been kept in a stored condition.

Engine was produced in 1975; red, white and blue body, sealed portholes, lighted.
