The idea to hand make these purses came from our friend, Marinda, whose Mother gave her a cigar box purse back in the 80's. This idea inspired Victoria and her mother, Lloyann, to create these purses with her
“Ireland's Call” was handmade by Victoria. It's the 19th purse in the VLM Collection. This purse is made from a wooden green cigar box from AJ Fernandez cigar company. The interior fabric is gold with a faint pink and green diamond design. Inside the purse, there is a pocket, perfect for the owner to put change, lipstick, or a credit card in it. The purse has a gold clasp to keep the owner's valuables safe inside. On the outside of the purse is a multi-colored ( green, gold and pink) tassel and bamboo handle. The cigar box was handmade in Nicaragua. The purse is 7"x7" box that is 3 inches deep. measuring from the top of the handle to the bottom, the purse stands one foot tall. The back of the purse is signed and numbered (No. 19). Please note, these are authentic cigar boxes and part of the charm are the small flaws that come from those who have previously used them to store their cigars in.
