ABOUT THE ARTIST: Volyn artist Yakubek Karel (Karl) Mikhailovich Born on December 10, 1923 in Uzhgorod. He graduated from the Uzhgorod Art and Industrial College (1946). The artist is a painter. He participated in republican exhibitions since 1958. Major works: "Talamash" (1958); "Industry in the Carpathians" (1963) and others. He lived and worked in Lutsk. He died on December 26, 2008.
