Vintage Hat 1960 Era Cloche Style Bucket Style Gold Beige Mr John selling Jr Mid Century Style Spring Hat Fall Hat Museum Deaccession

Handsome 1960 Era cloche or bucket style hat by Mr John Jr. The fabric is a silk-like. slightly textured with a bit of shimmer. selling The crown has 6 gores of elongated triangles in an antique gold tone which merge with the gores of beige. The 1 1/2" rolled brim is in the gold and is wired. A small velvet bow is at front (most definitely a nod to the '60s). The wiring of the brim allows some adjustment. If worn 1920's style, the hat would be pulled further over the head. The '60s were more interested in this being more to the back of the head. Note that the 8" high crown is not structured--we are showing with some tissue stuffing to maintain shape. Note model does not have hair to assist in filling the crown. This is a deaccession item from a small Midwest museum.
Size: 23" inner band circumference--note this is a larger band size
Condition: very good vintage, no stains, no holes.
