This is a lovely antique red transferware on white ironstone chamber pot with matching toothbrush holder/shaving vase. The "Gloria" pattern on these pieces is one of the most beautiful I've seen, featuring large ribbons, bows, and leafy wreaths and swags. Marked Dudson Wilcox & Till Ltd., Hanley, England, Gloria. Dudson was an earthenware manufacturer at the Britannic Works, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
The pot is approx 5 1/4 inches high and 9 inches wide. It is in very nice condition without chips, cracks, crazing or discoloration, and no signs of repair. It is hard to find these in such nice condition. Pieces from this manufacturer are also somewhat rare since they were only in business for a relatively short period of time.
The pot measures approx 9" w x 5" h. The vase measures approx 5.5" h.
