Gorgeous warm reds, with a slightly earthy tone to them, this is a slightly felted pure wool, hand embroidered and with paisley and floral motifs. The embroidery thread colours include turquoise,aqua/teal, light brown, green, pink and gold/amber. This can be worn open as a pashmina or wrapped as a chunky scarf - see photos.
Made from pure merino wool the shawl is soft on the skin and warm for its weight. It has been lightly felted and is a 'double weave' making it very warm and quite chunky. Wool is naturally crease resistant and although it might be creased after storage, the creases soon drop when it is worn - ideal if you are travelling. It is designed to be worn open to show the embroidery, but it can also be worn as a chunky scarf, with the embroidery threads adding selling texture and body. This style is not reversible, due to the embroidery.
Made in India, hand finished and hand embroidered. Woven to 70cm wide and just short of 200cm long, after felting it wears as approx. 67 x 185cm plus fringes.
