Presented is a fabulous antique American coin silver serving spoon. This spoon
was made by Robert Evans, and dates to circa 1798-1810. This spoon is made in
the classic design typical of the time period, with a pointed end and a distinct
downward turn to the handle. The spoon has a monogram of HG on the end of the
handle.
This spoon is in good overall condition, especially considering its age.
There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The spoon is marked with the maker's mark for Robert Evans, a Boston
silversmith active circa 1798-1810. The spoon is tested and guaranteed coin
(900) purity silver.
The spoon is about 8 7/8 inches long.
