Based on her many years of experience, the author introduces the reader step by step to the way we experience fragrances, the difference between natural and synthetic fragrances, materials used in the process of creating natural perfumes, procurement and proper storage of fragrant materials. In its key part, the manual provides instructions for studying fragrant materials, practical forms to facilitate the whole process, clarifies the classification of fragrant materials by notes and fragrant groups, and finally, presents in detail the process of creating a perfume.
Author: Slobodanka Poštić, nature admirer and teacher, is the author of several books on aromatherapy: “Aromatherapy - Enchantment of Essential Oils” (1994), “A for Aromatherapy” (2005), and “Fragrant Calendar” (2008). Since 2005, she has been dedicated to natural perfumery, through designing and holding various workshops and courses, as well as establishing Fragrant Signatures, the School of Natural Perfumery, which is held in different European countries and online. Since 2021, she has been involved in the work of the Airmid Institute for the Protection of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants as their ambassador to Croatia. Teaching about creating natural perfumes is her biggest passion.
