The porcelain Vintage antique deer figurine/statue was made in Germany in the 1940s.
The famous German firm of "Hertwig & Co".

A little history about the creation and existence of the famous German company "Hertwig & Co".
"Porcelain manufactory Hertwig & Co (Hertwig) was founded in Germany, Thuringia in 1864 by Christoph Hartigan and produced children's dolls, decorative items, gifts, or ceramic products and porcelain figures.

About 500 people were employed in the production. In 1958 the factory was nationalized and became known as Katzhutte (Katzhutte). The product range was drastically reduced. A very interesting fact is that at the time of nationalization a lot of historical samples of the factory were archived. Dolls, vases and figurines were Packed in boxes and closed in one of the warehouses. This archive was completely selling looted by state-owned companies in the early 1980s, most of the items were sold at auctions in Berlin and London.

Thanks to this fact, porcelain items produced at the factory before 1958, among connoisseurs and collectors are extremely appreciated. After the reunification of Germany in 1990, the factory was closed."

The statue was bought by the grandfather as a souvenir and brought to Ukraine.

The statuette is in perfect condition without defects.

Height is 6.69 inches (17 cm) , and 7.09 inches ( 18 cm) wide.
