Chenille Hanging Ghostie - Hand-Stitched selling Mixed-Media Art Doll

For those of us who might not want to be delivered from ghoulies or ghosties or longleggedy beasties or things that go bump in the night, there's this sweet little thing.

Too often, ghosts are depicted wearing sheets. Sheets. Tsk. I mean, sheets are basically the underpants of the bed, right? My ghosties prefer dressing up a bit and wearing vintage chenille bedspreads. They selling may be weird and quirky little things but they do like to look their best when they go out haunting, rather than floating around in their underpants like ordinary ghosts.

This sweet little girl has been lovingly hand-stitched from vintage chenille bedspreads and a vintage doily. Her hat is a scrap of antique velvet drapery adorned with sparkly little glass beads. Her arms are wired and posable, and she hangs from a sturdy little piece of fishing line looped at the top end and embellished with glass beads. Her body is about 10" long (including her hat) and her string is approximately 11" long. She weighs about 3 ounces.

This is a little piece of hand-stitched original art and is meant to be treated rather gently. She is not a toy for small children or anyone else who might be too tempted to pull, chew, lick, pick-at, or crush her with more than a gentle little hug.
