Victorian Silver Shell selling Pin Cushion dated 1859 ~ Antique Double Shell English Sterling Hallmarks Pin Cushion ~ Vintage Sewing Emery

An unusual large Victorian silver mounted shell pin cushion in very good condition.
It is heavy, 2 shells inverted to form an almost geometric shape.
The shells are also in very good selling condition, lovely creamy iridescence, no chips.
The pin pad is firm brown velvet, all original.
Stands 4" high and 3" across.
The base is weighted, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1859.
The maker's mark is too feint to read properly.
It stands well for display, the base is lined with green baize, (felt)
