In early spring my Penelope rose bush begins to send out beautiful blush pink blooms with a hint of golden at the center when they unfurl. As the weather turns warmer the blooms lose that color - so I try to make sure and paint them as much as I can in the cooler days of early spring! They have a wonderful delicate fragrance too.
