Product code: Treble Plate Butter Dish Stag Deer selling Buck
Antique Victorian Simpson Hall Miller and Co Treble Plate 4 piece Butter Dish Gorgeous piece in egg form, 2 separate removable trays to keep butter on ice. The lid comes off for cleaning. Highly decorated, 3D fauna & geometric shapes as well as 2D floral engraving. Butter knife holder in the shape of 2 bird heads, tall plumes hold the knife. The rounded oval lid rotates back down to hide away under the dish when opened. The top rotates back & stays open but it will stay closed when balanced. The lid appears to be reversible. Each leg of the dish is a detailed representation of a Deer Buck or Doe head with full rack of horns and the leg of the deer is the actual leg of the butter dish. On the bottom of the sieve dish there appear to be initials and perhaps a number (see photo detail). The dish is tarnished and will be left in this original condition. It is selling not broken or dented and there are minimal scratches, nothing of any note. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR DIMENSIONS WITH RULER.
