The northern lights really lend themselves to working with a palette knife, and a slightly abstracted landscape. Spruce trees covered in snow are such a calm selling and still landscape in winter. This painting is done in oils on Arches oil Paper. It has a thin white boarder that makes it really easy to put into a traditional style of frame or matt. The oil will arrive varnished so it does not need to be behind glass.
