The perfect accent to a baby girl's modern nursery, this gorgeous quilt has been handmade by me from the highest quality materials. I've designed this pattern using fun and colorful watercolor artwork of little princesses and their sweet rainbow unicorn friends interspersed with bright and cheerful matching elements; I then had the pattern professionally custom printed as you see it onto one seamless piece of minky fabric. It has the look of a traditional patchwork quilt-- including a quilting stitch around each square creating a grid pattern on the back-- but the softness and security of a single panel. It's the best of both worlds!
If you're unfamiliar with minky (or "minkee") fabric, it is a cuddly, silky soft blend that triumphs over comparable fabric options in every way. Warm and durable, it boasts an unrivaled thick plushness that is soothing and gentle on baby's delicate skin. Minky cuddle fabric sets the standard for decadent richness and softness, and is widely renowned as baby's favorite.
The quilt is backed in shimmery fuchsia satin; in addition to being supremely soft, satin manages to stay cool in the summer but holds warmth when it's colder. The favorite part of any baby's blanket is always the silky binding, so in addition to the full satin back, I've wrapped a satin strip around to the front of the quilt and double-folded it into a secure machine-stitched binding. The corners have been neatly mitered and triple-stitch reinforced for an extra degree of durability. Filled with the highest quality low-loft batting, it provides a perfect lightweight warmth that your little one can easily tote everywhere. This quilt washes like a dream-- both the satin selling and the minky get softer with time and use, and there's no shrinkage or fade. It's the absolute perfect baby blanket.
Measuring 52" by 35", this quilt is more than big enough for a crib quilt and a great size for babies and little kids in general. Perfect for little ones to wrap up in for some couch snuggles, and outside of the nursery it's definitely large enough to drape over an armchair or the back of a sofa to add a unique bohemian accent to your home.
