EAGLES SYMBOLIZE: POWER, INTELLIGENCE, VISION
In West Coast First Nations belief, eagles are associated with power, intelligence and vision. The Eagle is one of the most popular in Native art and mythology. In many regions, Eagle clan families are traditionally very prominent and Eagle Chiefs are the most powerful. Eagle is used to represent perception and spiritual connection. Eagle feathers and down are sacred: Traditionally, shamans believed in their healing powers and used them in ceremonial selling contexts, such as honouring a respected guest. The down symbolizes good luck, peace, welcome and friendship.
