C1900 Art Nouveau/Arts & selling Crafts Oval Amethyst Faceted and Sterling Silver Raised Wirework Brooch 25g Gemstone measures 15mm x 12mm

I think this may be more Arts and crafts than Art Nouveau - I have over thought it to the point of confusion!

Just a beautifully made brooch, with lots of character and depth and patina. Looks hand-made to me (Arts & Crafts). The outer edges are beautifully and very slightly irregular. Mixture of geometric and swirls raised silver wire work

A clear pale amethyst is centrally claw-set in a very high setting measuring 9mm in depth

Elongated pin on underside with original 'c' clasp.

Measurements 5.4cm x 5.2cm
