Vintage Bolo Tie, Mexican Sterling, selling Rockabilly, Western Jewelry, Oil Rig Jewelry, Oilfield Jewelry, Ranchwear, Neckwear, Guadaljara, Jalisco
selling The bolo tie is the official neckwear for Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona and this vintage, handcrafted, sterling silver tie would wear well there or anywhere. It was manufactured in Guadalajara in the mid-1950s by plateros renowned for their craftsmanship and design. The tie features the profile of an Aztec warrior or noble above a gold-toned design element. Of interest are the oil rig charms hanging from the bolo tips as Jalisco is not an oil producing area of Mexico - but it would be just right in Texas or Oklahoma. This bolo tie has not had its patina removed and the tie itself has not been replaced. The eagle stamp on the back indicates the age as between 1955 and the late 60s.
