12 1/2 selling -- Pure iron ring -- i12184

A while back a guy I didn't know sent me a couple of feet cut out of a old wagon wheel that was rusting on his farm in New England. The wheel probably dates to the selling 1800's and is definitely what is called pure iron. It's a material that isn't really produced any more. The advent of steel made the process obsolete. This ring is made from that antique wheel. The material is rare and wonderful and a piece of history.

As long as I have this material, I will make things from it so if you want something made from it send me a note. If you have a wagon wheel you want to send me, I'll take that too.

Since I make each ring individually, I can't repeat exactly the markings of any given band and my rings have changed over the years. However, if you see a ring that you like and you would like me to make something similar in your size, I am happy to do that. Or if you would like something that is a variation on one of my rings, let me know what you want and I will try to make that for you as well.
