Published in 1892, this antique book presents biographical sketches and stories of prominent women in Jewish history from biblical times through the Talmudic Age. The vintage book has a red and white cloth cover over hardcover book boards and decorative gold gilt medallion stamp proclaiming "Israel's Mission is Peace" along with the Star of David, an infant holding a snake, an olive branch, and a lion laying down with a lamb.
The antique book is in good condition showing wear consistent with its age and use. There is a Hadassha "From the Library of" book plate on the front endpaper on which a previous owner wrote her selling name.
