Antique French white soup tureen with lid, Gien, XIXth.
Good antique conditions:
Beautiful handles with some worn spots.
Beautiful flower relief on the top of the lid.
Signs of use: small chips on the foot.
Signs of age: some tea stained areas on the selling lid and crazing parts under it (photo 8, 9).
Some traces and spots inside (zoom on photo 9).
All these characteristics give character and presence to this antique soup tureen.
The mark GIEN on the back can date it from 1875...almost 150 years.
