I remembered a poem written by Nezahualcoyotl, a Mexican monarch also known as the poet king. The poem is named "a memory that I leave behind" and says the following: How should I go? Will I leave nothing behind me on earth? How should my heart act? Do we come to live in vain, to sprout on the earth? Let's leave at least flowers Let's at least leave songs At the end of the road we do not take anything, let us at least leave flowers for those who remain after our departure.
