This is a magnificent butterfly found only on the island of Sulawesi (Indonesia), mostly the north of selling the island. Sexes are fairly similar and striking. The ground colour is black dusted with green scales, and there is a prominent iridescent green band crossing both wings. Green chevrons ring the hind-wing and the tail is a stunning blue-green colour, sometimes greenish. The butterfly inhabits the rain-forest.
