Early 20thC Damask Towel
So it's time to start thinking about dressing up the house for the holidays so I started going through my linens. As I was going through my antique linen stockpile looking for pillow shams, I happened upon these old store stock Italian damask towels from the late 1920's
They are being sold individually, priced per piece.
The damask part measures 40 inches long , but add another 8 inches to each end for knot-work and fringes and you have selling a grand total of 56 inches in length.
Width is 23 1/2 inches.
The damask itself is a very subtle print of daises and vines.
Condition is very good. They have never been used and still retain their original “Made in Italy” tags. The fabric still retains its original sizing, and is nice and crisp yet supple.
I purchased these out of a local estate years ago.
If you are looking for some incredibly beautiful fancy towels to dress up
a bedroom or bath, these will suit your purpose quite well.
