I got this as a gift and already had one! This really is the warmest coat I've ever owned. With it being Carhartt and brand new you already know it has that Carhartt firmness. Nothing a couple washes won't fix to loosen it up! It also has an option to add a hood with snaps you can purchase online or a carhartt retailer near you. Hi You don't have selling to be hanging out in the Arctic to appreciate this warm black Winter Coat from Carhartt (because, really, who does that?). You just have to hate the cold. This winter winner is made from Dupont's 1000-denier Cordura Plus Nylon, aptly named Tough Stuff. This innovative material is 10-times more durable than cotton duck, 3 times more durable than standard polyester, and 2 times more durable than standard nylon. Whew. But that's not all. Carhartt added a smooth polyurethane finish to make the coat water-repellent too.
