Vintage 1940s Borden's Ceramic Divided Warming Dish, Excello, Juvenile Ware, Universal, Borden's Elsie the Cow Collectibles, Farmhouse Decor

This ceramic child's food warming dish, was filled with hot water, and then sealed with the cork, at dinner time.

Produced by Excello, for The Borden's Company, the dish featured Borden's popular Dairy Cows. Elsie, Beulah and Elmer were household names at the time.

The dish is in very good vintage condition, with the original plastic and cork stopper intact. There is no crazing, and aside from some slight fading on Elmer, the paint is still vibrant and clean. There is a bit of discoloration around the stopper. And three small chips on the underside of the bowl. I've shown photos of all flaws. The bowl looks wonderful displayed, but is clean enough to use.
