This mid-20th century sculpture by G. Ruggeri is a re-imagining of the Italian artist Antonio Canova's original 1815 marble masterwork. The statue represents the mythological tale of Hercules' rage at his servant, Licha, as told in author Ovid's "Metamorphosis." Made of a Ruggeri-developed composite alabaster & resin, this sculpture comes in a RARE patinated bronze color (not painted) and is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks and minimal wear.
