A great christmas present for anyone! Camera works absolutely great. I personally don't see any problems that could cause much hassle. It takes beautiful photos and I have some sample photos that I've personally taken from this exact camera. The tripod mount selling is used out and doesn't screw on. It does take 4 AA batteries which will not be included. The camera itself is the only thing included. No batieres nor SD cards will be with the camera. It's a personal favorite but I'm saving up for a new and more expensive camera.
