Vintage Sterling Silver Scottish Claymore Brooch Pin.

This stunning piece was made in Scottland by well known maker Robert Alison in 1957. The brooch is set with two agates and a cabochon piece of amber is set into the top. The reverse is marked with full Glasgow assay marks. This assay office is now shut, meaning pieces are harder to come by. The brooch is lovely selling piece which could easily be worn by a man or a woman, as a stand alone piece or with a kilt. This item would be ideal for a wedding gift. The brooch is 6.5cm 2.5" long and 1.7 cm 0.66" wide approx. This item is in very good condition for the age, with some wear and tear consistant with this. The perfect gift.
