1940s Enamelware Teapot Kettle Cream w/Red-Trim selling Metal Lidded Large Farmhouse Kitchen Decor Vintage
This is a vintage 1940s-1950s, cream with red trim, metal, enamelware teapot or kettle. It is a large, unmarked kettle measuring approximately 10.5 inches wide including handle & spout by 7 inches in height with a base diameter of 6 inches. The teapot features a large, graduated shape (larger selling at the bottom) with a detached lid. The body of the piece is cream color which is accented with a red spout, handle, rims and lid knob. The exterior enamel is in pretty, good condition for a utilitarian, vintage piece with some chips on the rim & a bubble on the lid, but the un-seen bottom has a large chipped & rusted section. The interior of the pot has several chipped and rusted spots as well as the inside edge of the lid. Any flaws I might have missed would be minor as evidenced by the photos. Certainly can no longer be used for its original intent. Purpose now to look pretty on a shelf or to be used as a receptacle for a flower arrangement. Please be sure before purchasing as this item is NOT returnable.
