World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of selling cufflinks made with genuine British Royal Engineers buttons (King George V) from the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two gilt British Royal Engineer officer's buttons. The cufflinks are made with a gold-plated swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller mess dress two-part buttons from a waistcoat, perfect in size for small cufflinks and are 16 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of First World War and Royal Engineer history. The officer's gilt buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
