Original Vintage photograph dated January 27 1954 of Pope Pius XII leaning over to touch a child as he is carried by his guards on his chair through the palance.

The photo selling as the UP stamp on the reverse and has the original UP story paper attached.

This was a working photo from a big city newspaper. It is in very good vintage condition. It has red photo pencil crop marks that were used for publication.

A lovely heart warming photo.
