As a handweaver, everything begins with a thought and a thread... Generally I weave furnishings for the home. In this case, a series of table runners and table centerpieces. The most often asked question is, "How long does it take you to do that?" It takes about 12 to 15 hours to wind a warp and thread my selling loom for table runners. Usually I put about 10 yards of warp (the lengthwise threads) on my loom so that I can divide the "loom dressing" time into several runners. Weaving the runner depends how long each runner is. It took about 2 1/2 hours to weave and hand hem this piece. It is 100% cotton. The drape of the fabric is much like a high quality table cloth.

Hand wash, cold water, machine or air dry. Iron lightly if needed.
