Eco printed Crossbody Purse
This little crossbody purse has been constructed with eco printed fabric that I created from rose, smoke bush and raspberry leaves collected around my home. The leaves were layered onto cotton fabric and then rolled up and simmered in a pot of water with a piece of iron and some tea. The result is this delightful piece that features a rose leaf that has been outlined in hand stitching. You will see many other leaves, or portions of leaves the longer you look at it. The eco printed fabric is a soft greenish gold with grey and black images as well as a green rose leaf.
The body of the purse has been constructed of black silk noile and the lining is commercial cotton in pale grey-taupe shades. A layer of thin quilt batting gives some added structure without stiffness and allowes the free motion quilting of leaves to become a feature of the bag. A black webbing strap (that can be worn across your body or from your shoulder) is securely inserted in the side seams. Please check the measurements below to see how this will fit you.

Strap: 53" long, hangs 24.5" from your shoulder (134 cm, hangs 62 cm)
