Lovely and in many ways a unique piece of folk art. I saw no other like this figurine. Beautiful vintage 1970s hand carved sculpture. West Africa fertility amulets. Black and red painted ethnic wooden statue of a sitting mother with a baby on lap. It has a minimalist design with a graciously curved line as well as etched lines creating vivid details. This piece is so beautiful... i am sure will be a true delight and focal point of interest at any home decor project or as a new mom gift.

Condition: A tiny drop of white painting on back, small rests of blue clay/gum on the base, some scuff. Please note that some of the black paint might come off when you touch it.
