Authentic vintage sheer black lace and black raffia evening bowler hat for women. This amazing formal dress hat features a so-retro Madeleine style curved rolled up brim. This black bowler has scalloped edges with sheer soft lace overlay, and intricate vented lace design of woven raffia over a stiff mesh that is firm, so pretty. The dome of the hat a lovely velvet ribbon bow of silk velvet that adorns the back and a second velvet ribbon trim band around.

Absolutely gorgeous formal evening hat, church hat for your vintage collection and to wear on special occasions.

Very remarkable vintage piece in exquisite unworn mint condition. It came from an estate sale in Los Angeles, and the owner wore impeccable pieces that all came from Italy and France where she lived during the 1950s and 60s. I have several of her designer items in the shop now -- Gucci, Saks, Pucci, Estevez. This hat has no interior label, but I estimate it to be 1960s vintage and likely made in France.

CONDITION: The hat seems never worn and no flaws found, amazing condition.

SIZE: Seems to be average size to slightly smaller, no size label:
