This is a color copy collage in the large series The Yellow Slicker. It measures
11 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches on heavy board and with the frame painted over to include the viewer in the idea frame. It is about a solitary man on horseback out in the elements of nature. A place we are not all able to be.
The photo is vintage and from a mid 80's Rolling Stone Magazine and was the Marlboro man with a cigarette. I have removed the cigarette and am emphasizeing nature in it's glory. I have done 20 variations of this image of selling different sizes in the fall of 2021. This obsession has to do with having been a printmaker working with multiples of the same image. I miss that! So one day I decided to do multiples! I don't know when this will end, and only that it makes me happy!
