Product code: Apaches and Mars selling Men

selling One of my favorite vinyl album covers of all time is the 1978 release Collision Course by that great and longtime Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel. It shows an alien spacecraft rounding a curve at night, heading toward two cowboys riding atop a stagecoach in the traditional Old West. Many moons later this was at least likely some of my inspiration for this painting. To any Apache heritage experts, please excuse my tepee markings. To any Mars invaders – please don't eat, dissect or otherwise use me in any fiendish experiments. You also may notice that my name is printed in the lower left side of the piece. I did this in 2017 when I started painting and didn't know any better!
