This is a beautiful, smooth writing ballpoint with a moon and stars theme. The pen barrel is swirled pearl resin, hand turned on a lathe and polished to a gloss finish.
The tip and end cap are imprinted with a star field design and the cap is topped with an image of the full moon. Symbols depicting the changing phases of the moon run down the front of the pocket clip. The metal trim bands are aluminum with a black anodized finish.

Note selling that the resin blank I used for this pen had a flaw in it. Rather than throwing the blank away, I patched the hole. When it was finished, the patch ended up looking a little like the man in the moon, or maybe a skull. I think it adds to the pen's charm.

The tip extends and retracts with an easy twisting action. This pen is refillable and uses Parker style inserts. Overall length is 5-1/4".
