Rare 19th Century Double Inkwell selling with Medallion of Profile--origins unknown

selling Rare turn of century antique metal inkwell (brass or painted brass I think) measuring about 6.5" x 5.00" x 2.00" and marked on bottom G3. In front of this most unusual piece is a medallion with the profile of either a man or woman, I cannot tell). It most likely would have had glass inserts at one time. I think it was either a commemorative or souvenir piece but I cannot find any information on it. $9.95 insured USA shipping
