Photochrom (Fotochrom, Photochrome or The Aac Process) is a process for producing colorized images from the black-and-white photographic negatives via the direct photographic transfer of a negative onto lithographic printing plates. The process is a photographic variant of chromolithography.

The Photochrom Process was invented in the 1880's by Hans Jakob Schmid (1856-1924) while he worked for the Swiss firm Orell Fussli. Fussli published prints through a company called Photochrom Zurich, later selling Photoglob Zurich. This particular print was released through Photochrom Zurich/Photoglob Zurich as indicated by the "P.Z." in the label.

The print is approximately 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches unframed. It is in a scroll edged wood frame with multiple chips along the edges. Frame has an aged hanging wire and thin board back held in with metal tacks/nails. Framed it measures 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches.
