Watch Stand, Watch Holder, selling Watch Display, Watch Display Stand, Watch Platform, Techno Deco

DESCRIPTION: This watch display stand is part of a series of display stands I refer to as selling my Techno Deco displays; Using technological parts which have an Art Deco or modern flavor. This display has at the heart of it a vintage fender ornament from a 1951-52 Buick Roadmaster.

MATERIAL - The base is solid Black Walnut, characterized by it's dark chocolate colored wood. The chrome VentiPort was a trim piece located on the front fenders of Roadmasters (4 per side) starting in 1949 when aviation or aerodynamic borne designs ruled the day. This was so much the case here where the original designer actually placed lights inside each of these ports on his car and wired them such that one would light up as each corresponding a cylinder fired creating a flashing array of lights that was intended to mimic the flames coming from the exhaust ports of fighter planes! The Roadmaster was powered by a V8 referred to as "The Fireball". The ornament is in good vintage condition, as with most chromed auto parts of this vintage some pitting and small marks exist however these do not detract from the presentation. DIMENSIONS - The footprint is 6.5" wide by 8" front to back.

Watch Display Holder:

These are the finest prefabricated watch display holders. Far superior to the ubiquitous cheap plastic versions which are hard, brittle, have sharp edges that strain, cut and wear watch bands.

Features include:
•Rubber coated spring steel, providing protection for bands and clasps unlike hard plastic/acrylic.
•A pair of finger tabs assist with mounting and dismounting watches. This is a much simpler and safer system when compared to mounts not outfitted with pinch tabs.
•The opening on my holder is positioned such that the watch case back sits over the opening so little contact with the rear of the actual watch case will occur.
•Each holder fits into a metal socket allowing for removal as well as rotational positioning.

Holders are available in two sizes, Small/Medium (S/M) & Large (L). S/M will accommodate watches fitted to 6 1/4" - 7.75" wrists, while L accommodates watches fitted for wrists ranging from 7.25" - 8.5" NOTE: if your wrist is 7.5" I would go with a S/M. Measure wrist with a cloth tailors tape fitted comfortably to your wrist. Or cut a 3/4" wide strip of paper to 10" long - wrap around your wrist as tight as you wear your watches, mark where the end of the paper strip reaches on the strip. remove and measure to mark.
