A strong keepsake box build using only handtools in traditional methods. Wooden nails made from the same stock as the body are pounded through some of the joints. Other methods used include wedged through tenons and sliding dovetail. The lid is made in the style of old japanese toolboxes using a tapered pin to secure selling it. No screws or metal hardware. Handles are rapped in jute, box is pine and fir stained dark and finished with satin polyurethane.
