Product code: Antique pitcher jug (locally selling called “cannata”) from Caltagirone (Sicily, Italy) late 1800
The “bucale” or “cannata” is a type selling of pitcher of domestic, everyday use. It was used as a jug, to serve water and wine at the table. It is pot-bellied, slightly oval-shaped, with a characteristic little spout at the end of its opening. It is in perfect conditions, given its age!
Imperfections and wear are distinguishing signs of authenticity.
