selling This is a unique piece of vintage early 20th century rural history. It is a sturdy handmade wooden farmer's wife's basket. Made in, & used for, collecting berries in Ontario, Canada.
Use as designed for or as a storage unit for a multitude of items.
A solid piece of oval shaped wood forms the bottom. Thinner wood is formed around the base & overlapped in a pleasing 3 arrow point fashion. Metal nails secure the overlap as well as the single handle. Stained a medium brown.
Measurements- 10" long & to top of handle, 6.5" wide, 3.5" deep.
Condition- still useful & solid. Some natural wearing away of the stain, see photos for details.

All shipping is provided through Canada Post, using the least expensive option available. For items shipped within Canada all parcels are sent Expedited Mail which includes tracking. There is no option for a less expensive option. For items shipped to the US & international, small packet service is used. This DOES NOT provide tracking & once sent can not be be tracked by the seller. If tracking is desired this must be stipulated when purchasing & the appropriate service will be selected & paid for by the buyer.
