These larger 10" silhouette plates are extremely difficult to make, and indeed, quite rare. They usually cost many times the price I charge.
This is a reverse-decoupage glass tray - also known as a ‘silhouette tray' because the glass is upwardly curved at the edges, and the image is decoupaged on the underside of the glass.
The glass is made in Pennsylvania by a family-owned firm. I have given this a matching felt protective backing.
This item can be used to hold food items . It can be washed and vrinsed under the tap. Of course, you can always simply put it somewhere as purely a lovely and decorative item. Or hang it with a plate hanger onto the wall.
