The frames measure 9" x 9" x 2.5". These are Birdwing Butterflies of the Lepidoptera Ornithoptera species. This species is known to include the largest butterflies in the world (subspecies Victoria). All specimens have been meticulously positioned and are mounted to the rear glass pane with a single clear acrylic peg, allowing for a complete and unobstructed view. Each specimen has been legally imported to the U.S. from the Indonesian Basin, mainly Paupa New Guinea and other nearby isolated islands.
