selling Over the past few years the Mackinac Bridge authority has been replacing the original grates from 1957 and selling them through a state auction. I was able to purchase a full barrel of pieces and I have decided to sell a few individual pieces of the steel. These pieces have not had any forging done to them (so the paint is preserved) and are just pieces of the grating that have been cut to the size shown, and had clearcoat finish applied to them. This is truly a one of a kind piece of Michigan history. If you love the Mackinac Bridge or know someone who does this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of the Mighty Mac!!!
